Soil-Moisture-measurement

TurfGuard In-Situ soil moisture stations are a specialized version of our standard TurfGuard soil moisture monitoring stations used by growers. These stations come with 1 or 2 soil moisture sensors and are buried within sports fields. Thanks to their 1 or 2 - 3.6 Volt D-Cell batteries (depending on the model) with a capacity of 13000mA/h, they can transmit soil moisture data from the field for a period of 5 to 10 years. TurfGuard soil moisture stations are available in various sensor configurations, as listed below.

LoRa network connection at your sports complex:


TurfGuard wireless stations transmit their data via the LoRa network to our Tracis Web Portal. In the Netherlands, this can be done through the nationwide LoRa network provided by KPN. However, when using these stations, especially the In Situ soil moisture measurement stations, we recommend the use of a dedicated LoRa gateway on the sports complex or within the stadium. This ensures optimal signal strength between the station and the gateway.
