TurfGuard Light Sensor Stations

Light, especially PAR light, is one of the most crucial parameters to monitor on sports fields. Particularly in stadiums where the shadow from the stands, etc., has a significant impact on the amount of light that ultimately reaches (parts of) the field, it is of great importance for the growth and quality of the grass. Additionally, many stadiums use artificial lighting to provide sufficient light for the grass. With our TurfGuard Light Sensors, you can measure how much light the grass receives at any location in the stadium throughout the day. By placing multiple stations at different points on the field and continuously measuring throughout the day, you gain valuable insights into the light conditions at various locations on the field, both in terms of duration and light intensity.

Model 1 only measures PAR light. In our webshop, you will also find several common models that, in addition to PAR light, measure air temperature and humidity and/or leaf wetness periods at the grass level. Other configurations with, for example, UV light sensors or pyranometers, are also available upon request.
