This FieldGuard rain gauge measures precipitation in increments of 0.25mm. The pulse count is sent to our Tracis web portal at 15-minute intervals, where the amount of rainfall per hour and per day is displayed. Additionally, the monthly summaries calculate and display the amount of rainfall per day and cumulatively per month. The Rain Gauge itself is legendary and highly reliable, with an accuracy of ±2% at a precipitation rate of 5mm/hour. The "Bucket" (collection container) is frost-resistant and meets the dimensions required by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). In addition to the rain sensor, Model 3 also features a digital temperature/RH (Relative Humidity) meter for measuring air temperature and humidity, as well as a leaf wetness sensor. This allows the station to be used for frost alerts and disease models such as RIMpro or Vitimeteo.
