Why Measure Carbon Dioxide in Stables

Through a CO2 monitoring system, you can check if the minimum ventilation is properly adjusted. A concentration higher than 3000 ppm means that the animals are not getting enough fresh air, which can lead to health problems.

The higher the CO₂ concentration in the stable, the greater the possible contamination with viruses and bacteria. Better ventilation helps control infections via aerosols and droplets, reducing the number of new infections.

The N-Emis CO2 measurement station uses CMOSens® technology for IR detection, enabling highly accurate carbon dioxide measurement at a competitive price. In addition to this NDIR measurement technology for CO₂ detection, this station also uses a humidity and temperature sensor integrated on the same sensor module. Humidity and temperature are measured, allowing compensation for external heat sources without the need for additional components. Thanks to the dual-channel principle for the measurement of carbon dioxide concentration, the sensor compensates automatically for long-term drift.
